Mudaliar Kuppuswami

KUPPUSWAMI A. MUDALIAR

Mudaliar Kuppuswami had met Baba in Bangalore and joined the ashram in 1942. Kuppuswami was ordered by Baba to be on silence, and he stayed in Meherabad for a year or so.

Few of his events and conversation with Meher are produced below:

According to instructions, those invited arrived in Meherabad on the 23rd, May 1945, Baba gave them individual interviews. Among 40 men Kuppuswami also attended the meeting.

Baba arrived in Meherabad at 7:40 A.M., on Saturday, 12 November 1955. Among Telugu sahavas group, Kuppuswami appeared in a saffron-colored kafni, and Baba inquired, “Since when have you begun wearing a kafni?”

He replied, “It is only for this occasion.”

Baba replied, emphasizing, “We should cleanse our hearts with this color — not merely wear it outwardly.”
