DON STEVENS

Don first met Meher Baba in New York, 1952. Thereafter Baba would refer to Don as ‘my spiritual son’, close mandali (disciple) and that he had an ‘almost perfect balance of head and heart’. Soon after this initial meeting Baba requested Sufism Reoriented, specifically both Ivy Duce and Don, to edit and publish ‘God Speaks’. Don was then asked by Baba to re-edit ‘ Discourses’ for Western seekers and ‘Listen Humanity’, this included new discourses by Baba and Don’s own experience at the Four Languages Sahavas in Meherabad in 1955. DON STEVENS’ passed away in April 2011 and his farewell service was held on May 19th JAMES CHURCH PICCADILLY, LONDON..

Meher Baba’s Mandali and New life Companion Murli Kale’s wife Sulbha Kale died in her home at Jabalpur (India) at the age of 86. Sulbha was very close to Meher Baba and met Baba several times alongwith her husband Murli Kale who was Baba’s old Mandali and also a New Life companion. History of Meherabad

Meherabad was originally an ashram established by Meher Baba near Arangaon Village, India in 1923 about 9 kilometres south of Ahmednagar. It is now the site of Meher Baba’s samadhi (tomb-shrine) as well as facilities and accommodations for pilgrims. A large number of buildings mostly associated with the earlier decades of Baba’s work, the graves of disciples, and a range of pilgrim accommodation and charitable establishments are also there.
