The Board of Trustees approved the AMBPPCT Policy for Volunteer Program at their 248th Board Meeting held on 22 May 2024. The guiding principle of selfless service as explained by Avatar Meher Baba, the personification of “Mastery in Servitude”, inspires the framing of the policy. This initiative seeks to offer His followers endless opportunities to serve Him and His Cause through the Trust He established.
Unique is His Advent each time He comes, but this time, He has done something He has never done before – the Avatar created a Trust. When Baba signed the Trust Deed, He endowed it with the life and force necessary for His work to continue after He dropped His physical form. He opened the door for His lovers to establish a direct connection to Meher Baba’s Cause and to make it purposeful and significant in their lives.
Baba’s Trust is inseparable from Baba Himself and the objectives He outlined in the Trust Deed. He established the Trust and personally signed its Deed, entrusting future generations with its objectives. Each of His followers is granted the opportunity to participate in Baba’s work. It is our great fortune to contribute our service and resources to Him, His Trust, and His Cause, cherishing thern as dearly as we do our children and loved ones. Yet, even more significant is our blessing to receive such opportunities, for as Baba said, “My work only I know” and “Baba alone does His work, but it pleases Him to use this person or that person in His work.”
Serving Baba through the Trust requires a physical commitment and unwavering dedication to the tasks at hand. Volunteers in the program can engage in a wide array of activities on the Trust estate, ranging from landscaping and gardening to construction and maintenance of facilities, and involvement in medical, educational, and many other areas. No matter how big or small, each task must be carried out, giving it your all and imbued with a profound sense of purpose and heartfelt devotion.
We invite all Baba lovers who wish to contribute voluntary service to Beloved Baba’s work to register for ongoing projects and activities in Meherabad by completing the online application form provided herewith after thoroughly reading the information in the Volunteer Program Information pamphlet.

Upon receiving the application, the Trustees managing the Volunteer Program will meet the volunteers at Meherabad to brief them about the program and the various ongoing projects or tasks to which they can contribute. This will provide an opportunity for the volunteers to understand the type of work required to be done and determine and if they are ready and able to participate.
